Role Overview

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to join our engineering production team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will champion product excellence by architecting comprehensive test plans, authoring resilient test scripts, and executing rigorous manual and automated validation sweeps across web, mobile, REST APIs, and core backend architectures. You will partner closely with engineering leads and product managers to uncover defects early, diagnose root causes, optimize application scalability, and mentor junior QA talent.

Key Responsibilities

As a QA Engineer on our team, you will:

• Develop, structure, and execute exhaustive test plans, scenarios, and automated scripts to safeguard product quality across all delivery phases.
• Perform end-to-end manual and automated testing across multi-platform web applications, native mobile apps, RESTful APIs, and backend microservices.
• Collaborate actively with product managers, developers, and system architects to translate functional requirements and system specifications into precise test cases.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects within issue management tools (e.g., Jira), driving issues through resolution alongside development teams.
• Design and run comprehensive regression test suites ensuring zero regression impact during continuous integration and feature deployments.
• Conduct system performance, load, and stress testing to proactively identify bottlenecks and enhance product scalability.
• Participate actively in technical architecture reviews and pull request inspections to provide constructive, quality-focused feedback.
• Continuously research and integrate modern QA automation frameworks, security practices, and verification methodologies.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior QA engineers, supporting their professional skills and domain proficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 5 to 8 years of solid professional experience in software quality engineering, with strong emphasis on web and mobile application environments.
• QA Methodologies: In-depth understanding of STLC/SDLC methodologies, defect lifecycle management, and test automation design patterns within Agile/Scrum sprints.
• Automation & Tooling: Hands-on expertise building robust automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium WebDriver and REST API validation suites.
• Scripting Languages: Proven proficiency with scripting and automation programming in Python or Golang.
• Networking Fundamentals: Comprehensive mastery of network protocols and infrastructure concepts, including TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, and dynamic routing protocols.
• Packet & Network Analysis: Practical experience utilizing network testing tools, packet analyzers (e.g., Wireshark, Nmap), traffic generators, and network simulators/emulators on Windows and Linux platforms.
• Operating Systems: Deep operational competence configuring, troubleshooting, and testing in both Windows and Linux OS environments.
• Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical debugging skills with the ability to isolate intermittent failures and articulate complex technical findings clearly.

Preferred Certifications & Credentials

• ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation Level or Advanced Level) is a strong plus
• Relevant network or cloud testing credentials (e.g., CCNA, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) are advantageous

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any Graduate / Post Graduate qualification.
