Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Salesforce CPQ Developer with 5+ years of dedicated professional experience (including 4+ years in core Salesforce engineering) to join our engineering production team across Chennai and Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, customizing, and scaling robust Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) implementations that streamline quote-to-cash workflows and elevate user experience. Working within an Agile development framework, you will collaborate with cross-functional business groups and Enterprise Architecture teams to build scalable, high-impact enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Salesforce CPQ Developer on our team, you will:

• Deliver high-performance Salesforce CPQ solutions by leveraging native product features, custom plugins, and modern platform capabilities to meet complex business needs.
• Engage actively across all phases of the software development lifecycle, utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies for transparent and predictable delivery.
• Architect and implement scalable configuration, pricing, and discounting logic capable of supporting rapid business expansion.
• Collaborate closely with diverse business stakeholders, sales operations, and product managers to translate intricate commercial requirements into technical specifications.
• Champion engineering excellence by mentoring peers, establishing design patterns, enforcing coding best practices, and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Continuously expand technical capabilities through self-directed learning and early adoption of emerging Salesforce tools, releases, and ecosystem frameworks.
• Provide strategic technical insights and analytical perspectives to help cross-functional project teams solve complex business problems.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture teams to evaluate system designs, eliminate technical debt, and contribute actionable ideas for architectural modernization.
• Author comprehensive technical documentation, data dictionary updates, and configuration blueprints to guarantee smooth operational handover and ongoing support.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve high-severity production issues promptly to uphold system reliability and business continuity.
• Provide accurate technical estimates for upcoming sprint deliverables and consistently meet delivery commitments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience, with at least 4 years of dedicated, hands-on experience as a Salesforce developer building custom business logic.
• CPQ Mastery: Deep functional and technical knowledge of Salesforce CPQ architectures, product bundling, dynamic options, price rules, product rules, custom action plugins, and quote templates.
• Salesforce Platform Development: Extensive experience authoring custom Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, asynchronous processing, SOQL/SOSL queries, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Agile & Estimation: Proven track record estimating story points accurately and shipping clean releases within fast-paced Agile sprint cycles.
• Analytical Acumen: Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and debugging skills with keen attention to technical detail and code quality.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required & Desirable Certifications

• Required: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (PDI)
• Required: Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
• Desirable: Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist (highly preferred)
• Desirable: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (PDII)
• Desirable: Salesforce Certified Application Architect

Preferred Tools & Methodologies

• Hands-on experience with modern DevOps and release management tools such as Copado, Gearset, or Salesforce DX
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Git-based version control branching strategies
• Prior exposure to Certinia (FinancialForce) ERP / PSA integrations is a strong advantage

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any Graduate / Post Graduate qualification.
