Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of our software products. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications, identify and document software defects, and contribute to the improvement of our products' performance and scalability.
You are all set to:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of software products.
- Perform manual and automated testing on web and mobile applications, APIs, and ackend systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira) and work closely with development teams to resolve them.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
- Perform performance testing and contribute to improving the performance and scalability of our products.
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on quality-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to software quality assurance.
- Mentor junior members of the QA team and contribute to their professional growth.
You bring in:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on web and mobile applications.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium and Rest API.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Golang).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and communicate findings effectively.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols.
- Hands-on experience with network testing tools and equipment, such as packet analyzers (e.g., Wireshark), traffic generators, and network simulators/emulators.
- Hands-on experience with network testing tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nmap) and network troubleshooting utilities on Windows platforms.
- Experience working on Windows and Linux operating systems.
Ideally, you also have:
- ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
